Beyoncé has earned as many as 11 nods at this year’s MTV Music Video Awards thanks to her hit visual album Lemonade.

Adele got slightly less lucky this year, earning only 8 nominations, seven of which are for her Hello music video.

Kanye West got his controversial music video for the single Famous nominated two times. In the video, the husband of Kim Kardashian is seen lying in bed with naked celebrities such as GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and Shake It Off singer Taylor Swift.

MTV Music Video Awards 2016 will be held on August 28 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. In her visual album Lemonade, which was released in April this year, Beyoncé sings about a grieving woman, who discovers her husband’s infidelity and struggles with the consequences of it.

The 60-minute visual album has been nominated for the best longform video, while its lead single, Formation, will be rivaling against Adele’s Hello, Justin Bieber’s Sorry, Drake’s Hotline Bling and Kanye West’s Famous in the best video of the year award.

However, Beyoncé was 2 nods short to break Lady Gaga’s record set in 2010, when the Poker Face singer received 13 nods, including two for the best video of 2010.

In 2016, such singers as Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Florence + The Machine and Calvin Harris also received nominations, while Taylor Swift, who won four awards at last year’s MTV Music Video Awards, hasn’t received a single nomination even though she released three music videos in the past year.

It’s also worth noting that Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dream video, which debuted at the MTV ceremony last year, wasn’t nominated as well.

Nick Jonas, who has had a pretty good year, also didn’t receive a single nomination this year. Shortly afterwards, the pop singer tweeted about his disappointment with this year’s MTV Music Video Awards.

Jonas later tweeted: “won’t let this one thing get to me. I’m feeling so inspired and grateful these days. Gonna focus more on caring less about the small stuff.”

This year, MTV decided to reveal the nominees in a unique way: via a panoramic street mural in New York City’s East Village

The article, which was written by Vanity Fair contributor Rich Cohen for the magazine’s August issue, has been widely criticized for being sexist toward the Suicide Squad actress.

In the article, Cohen writes about Robbie: “She is 26 and beautiful, not in that otherworldly, catwalk way but in a minor knock-around key, a blue mood, a slow dance.”

Then the author continues by saying that the Suicide Squad actress is tall, but “but only with the help of certain shoes,” adding that she can be sexy while naked only in character.

In her recent interview with Australian TV show The Project, Robbie responded to the article, saying that the article was “weird.”

“I remember thinking, that was a really odd interview. I don’t know how that’s going to come out,” Robbie said. “And then when I read it. I was like yeah, the tone of this is really weird. Like, I don’t really know what he’s trying to get at.’”

However, Robbie said she wouldn’t make such an uproar out of it, as she has read even worse pieces. The Suicide Squad star admitted that she had read “far more offensive” pieces that were even more sexist, “insulting, derogatory and disgusting” toward her. “I don’t know. Maybe, I’m like, desensitized to it now.”

But shortly after his article was published, Cohen said he was “mostly” joking in his piece. “It is a goof. Supposed to be funny,” he said.
